Interior Painting                                                    : 1. Two light coats are better than one heavy coat. 2. For a smooth finish, use a good quality roller. 3. Store the roller in plastic between coats. 4. Use a paint with a washable finish in high traffic areas. Project Steps:   Materials you will need: #1 Prepare the room Protect furniture Fill nail holes Wash walls Degloss if necessary Tape windows and carpet edge   Spackle Putty knife Drop cloths Deglosser or sand paper Masking tape #2 Prime and edge Prime bare spots and stains Trim edges with paint   Interior primer Paint edger 3" roller 2" paint brush Corner edger #3 Apply first coat Using a roller, apply paint on small areas at a time Keep a wet edge Let paint dry   Roller tray and cage Smooth-nap roller Rags #4 Apply finish coat Repeat Step 3 for the finish coat #5 Clean up and relax Wash tools Remove tape   Paint thinner Paint brush cleaner
